My name is Dipali Shah and I'm a second year Biology major hoping to pursue a minor in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience in addition to the Honors Minor I am currently pursuing. I am on a pre-Physician's Assistant track academically, and I am hoping to get more involved with the pre-health and STEM-related organizations on campus.
   
  This subject interested me because Italy is one of the few European countries I have always enjoyed learning about due to its rich culture (and food :))! I am also connected to migration in a way because my parents and grandparents all migrated to the U.S. from India in the 1970s/1980s. Because of this migration in the generation older than me, I have grown up in a family that is very connected to its own culture, allowing me to be immersed both in the culture my family came from as well as the culture I have grown up around in California my entire life.
