Clark is better known for his fine art etchings and oil paintings of waterfowl and hunting scenes than for carving decoys, and his etchings were published in four books that he authored with accounts of his hunting experiences: "Stray Shots" in 1931, "Gunner's Dawn" in 1937, and "Roland Clark Etchings" in 1938, and "Pot Luck" in 1945 (Meadowlark Gallery).
