Herbarium: Medicinal Plants as Information

Origin of stems of Galvezia juncea plant

All the stems of the Galvezia juncea plant seem to originate from one spot in the soil, extending out about ~1m in length. In comparison to the Scrophularia californica plant, which as thick, wood-like stems, the thinner stems of the Galvezia juncea plant seem to be an adaptation to be more complimentary to the small leaves and flowers.
