Preliminary data of the impact of home-based preschools on parents' gendered attitudes indicate that parents who participate in these preschool programs hold less traditional gender beliefs (See this Huffington Post article for more information). While more research is required to fully understand these findings, it is possible that these programs provide an opportunity to impact gender equity in early childhood education by including parents in the development and education of their children and by helping parents fully recognize the capabilities of their daughters and how they benefit from access to education.
