Feeding a Crowd

Cherokee Seed Bank

The Cherokee have a beautiful view on plants and their powers around us--a belief that should be continued in future generations. Sadly, this community is more closed off from mistreatment of the past and present. What hasn't been physically taken away from them has been disrespected by other cultures. This exploitation saddens me because until reading this chapter I knew nothing about Cherokee beliefs and now I think that it is something beautiful and something that should be respected and known by all. Sadly, disrespect does not make this an option. Also, it is affecting the health of the community in general.
