Morgan was born in Wales on 7 February 1864. He came to America in 1883 and married (1) Maud Belle Hays, who predeceased him. He was serving a church in Vincennes in 1907 when he came to northern Indiana and became rector of Trinity Church in Peru. He remained there until 1909, when he transferred tot he Diocese of Albany and took charge of a church in Granville, New York. From 1914 to 1934, he was rector of St. Andrew's Church in New Haven, Connecticut. After the death of his first wife he married (2) Bessie Gibberd Tilling. He died in New Haven on 16 December 1934 and was buried in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
