Department Description:

The primary purpose of this department is to provide professional training for those preparing to become teachers and school administrators. Many of the courses are, therefore, essentially technical and vocational but a number are adapted to meet the cultural needs of students who enter other walks of life. It also aims to develop in the student an insight into other walks of life. It also aims to develop in the student an insight into facts and principles of psychology which may aid him in controlling his own mental life and in understanding the reactions and points of view of others.
