Introduction

Over 125 years, Concordia College has grown and evolved many times over. Beginning in 1891, the College had three very specific courses of study for its students. By 1911, the college had developed individual departments outside of the set courses of study it began with which offered even more individualized education for students. This curriculum was the beginning of the education students know and love today. Students could study Chemistry, English, and Religion among many other fields. Since 1911, the college curriculum has grown to include more than 60 departments, majors and minors.

While this project is still developing, it does currently contain information for thirty six departments, some which still exist to this day, and some that have ended over time. It is the hope of the current researchers that this project continue and grow to eventually include all departments that Concordia has, and had.

Departments are organized by the year that they were originally established. Each year present in this project represents the year the department(s) it contains were established.
