This traversal of Kate Palermini took place on Thursday, July 9, 2015 in the MOVE lab at Washington State University of Vancouver. It is divided into two videos.
By traversing through the iOS re-release, we capture the experience of Chrono Trigger as it was intended for a mobile generation of North American gaming audiences. We witness the preservation of the partial retranslation of the original Chrono Trigger script, but also the removal of previously added content — in particular, the iconic animated cutscenes. The experience of this version's significantly distinct tactile controls is also captured.
