A Twitter Countdown to #SIDLIT2015

As part of the social media strategy to get the word out about SIDLIT 2015 (or #SIDLIT2015) and to prime participants, a small sub-committee of the C2C Steering Committee launched an 11-week countdown to the event.

They defined a number of topics-of-interest (from conversations on C2C and topics proposed for the SIDLIT conference) and launched, to see what Twitter communications they could spark. They were also simultaneously launching their #SIDLIT2015 hashtag campaign and raising the @SIDLIT profile.  They were also working to reinforce relationships and add more online friends.

The following embedded Tweet was the first of this series. the others may be accessed from the @SIDLIT account.

Some lessons learned so far?!  Those on Twitter are a friendly bunch, and they'll "friend" and "follow" and "like" at the drop of a hat!
