Thanks for your patience during our recent outage at scalar.usc.edu. While Scalar content is loading normally now, saving is still slow, and Scalar's 'additional metadata' features have been disabled, which may interfere with features like timelines and maps that depend on metadata. This also means that saving a page or media item will remove its additional metadata. If this occurs, you can use the 'All versions' link at the bottom of the page to restore the earlier version. We are continuing to troubleshoot, and will provide further updates as needed. Note that this only affects Scalar projects at scalar.usc.edu, and not those hosted elsewhere.

To access associated files and cite while you write, visit the home page and become a group member.
I also encourage you to contribute to the library's continuing growth as you find additional scholarly sources during the course of your research. When you add a source to this library, make sure that your entry is formatted correctly with all the required bibliographic information for Chicago style citations. You can also customize this library by creating subject tags linked to your research interests, such as "anarchism" or "gender." Just be sure to be consistent with spelling, capitalization, etc. Otherwise "gender" and "Gender" will result in two different tags.
