As he grew older, he realized that their were more experiences to be had outside of the Orthodox world. Early in life, he found a passion for singing and sought to develop his talent. After leaving Israel, he began his education at Santa Monica College, where he studied linguistics, theater and music. He has since transferred to UCLA where he continues his studies and sings in a Klezmer group.
