Visualizing and Mapping Fairfax

The following maps, charts, and graphs utilize data from various studies and surveys about Jewish life in Los Angeles and Beverly-Fairfax, and in do so, provide a window into understanding the history of the neighborhood.  From a social science perspective, this data can help to illuminate the on-the-ground demographic conditions and socio-economic differences between Beverly-Fairfax and other Los Angeles neighborhoods. Examining this seemingly objective information--and the purpose of these studies and surveys--can also help to highlight the ways in which various stakeholders perceived life in the Fairfax neighborhood and understood the role of Beverly-Fairfax within a broader metropolitan context.
