Michaela Ullmann

Michaela Ullmann is the Exile Studies Librarian & Instruction Coordinator, Special Collections, at the University of Southern California (USC). She oversees the USC Feuchtwanger Memorial Library and is a specialist on the German-speaking Exiles in Southern California.

Michaela holds a master’s degree in Cultural Anthropology specializing in Maya and Aztec cultures from the University of Bonn, Germany, with minors in Classics and Protohistoric Archaeology. She also holds a master’s degree in Library and Information Science from San José State University. As the Instruction Coordinator for Special Collections, she is responsible for integrating archival literacy and primary source literacy into the curriculum at USC.
