Well, without further ado, here is the recipe...
Ingredients:
- 300 g flour
- 150 ml water
- ½ cube fresh yeast
- 15 ml milk
- tablespoon cooking oil
- teaspoon sugar
- Pinch of salt
- ½ clove finely chopped red onion
- cloves garlic
- branch fresh rosemary
- Little coriander (finely chopped)
- tablespoons olive oil
- tablespoons butter
- Salt
Instructions:
Step 1: Melt the yeast in a bowl with lukewarm water along with the sugar; add the flour and a little salt and knead the mixture. Add one tablespoon oil to the mixture to prevent the dough from being sticky. If you want to get softer dough add milk. When you finish kneading, leave the dough to rise.
Step 2: Spice the dough. When the dough will rise roll it in round shape, sprinkle it with the previously chopped spices (without the garlic), and knead again the dough in order to combine it well with the spices. Leave the dough to rise again for about 20 minutes.
Step 3: When the dough will rise again, roll it to 4mm thickness. If your baking pan is smaller, divide the dough into two parts.
Step 4: Baking the dough. Preheat the baking pan; sear both sides of the dough with oil. Bake the dough for about 5 minutes until it gets nice golden color.
Step 5: Meanwhile, in another pan melt the butter along with garlic. Smear the baked dough with this mixture while it is still warm. After that, sprinkle salt and cut the dough into sticks.
These spiced sticks are tastiest when they are still warm. You can serve it with your favorite sauce. Zomick's recommends it with this kind of breadsticks.
