My first cousin Simon at age one year, Rovno, Poland (1936)

My cousin Simon was named for my grandfather Simon Azechet who died in Rovno in 1934. Simon perished in Rovno in approximately August 1941 along with his parents and grandmother.

Since they died before my birth I do not recall my cousin’s last name because he was my aunt’s son and did not have my father’s surname. In a sense that makes his fate even more tragic for me.
