Raptivism
A study conducted by Lousiana State University aimed to focus on the effect of rap music in the political sphere, demonstrating how hip hop's community can alter many cultural and political landscapes.
It even delves into how certain rhythms of music personify certain aspect of power and activism. Electronic drums and machines are meant to amplify the power of lyrics, clapping hand shows collective support and the strength of a coalition.

Movies such as Gully Boy, have pushed the South Asian community to explore rap away from the western context. Many Dalit rappers refer to this film as a focal point in the development of their careers as it sparked a new method of activism.
