Understory is the annual anthology of achievements in English Studies - creative writing, language and linguistics, literary studies, rhetoric, and composition - by undergraduate students. It exclusively features works by the University of Alaska Anchorage students and is compiled and presented by the Department of English. Creative works were solicited campus-wide and selected by student editors. Faculty members in the Department of English selected scholarly works from their courses. The authors retain all rights of publication and copyright.
