Juan "Freddie Freak" Trujillo

Chapter 1. Biography


Juan "Freddie Freak" Trujillo was an activist of the late 1960s to early 1970s. The goal of Freddie Freak was to keep Chicano History alive and progress the Chicano Movement. A lithographer by trade Trujillo got involved in many Chicano Movements here in Colorado. Such examples include aiding the Chicano Movement group UMAS of the University of Colorado-Boulder, the Coors Boycott, and the La Cucaracha Newspaper which was printed in Pueblo, Colorado. Freddie created many forms or media and presentations to help grow the Chicano Movement in Colorado and continues to advocate for it to this day.
