Draft Day takes an approach to split screen that could be said to be influenced by digital comics. The transitions between panels in the film almost feel momentum-scrolled, as if they exist side by side in a cinematic version of the infinite canvas. One almost gets the sense that it’s possible to reach out and swipe back to the previous panel.
