The Rhode Island Freeman

Edited by D. B. Harris, and published by A. Crawford Greene, The Rhode Island Freeman was a weekly newspaper. Beginning in 1853, the newspaper was published until March 11, 1855. It was instrumental for the antislavery movements in Rhode Island, Providence and Massachusetts. It often published news of slavery and antislavery movements across the country from 1853-1855.
