Halfway through a childhood spent in foster homes, before she found out her mom was alive and living in an institution; before leaving school after the 8th grade so she could work; and before settling in with the aunt and uncle who would treat her as their own. I wish I could say that the rest of her life was easier, but she did come through it all with her faith and sense of humor intact. We miss her every day.plain2020-10-14T10:19:34-07:00Gilbert Borrego86338e624720b29eabebdb422c586d4de553bb47
