Introduction
The purpose of this project is to uplift the voices of female refugees. Female refugees deserve a place in academia, in the media, and in our minds. Currently, they do not frequently occupy these spaces or receive the respect and attention that other groups in prominent positions do. When female refugees can occupy these spaces, they can be heard. They can have representation and the ability to utilize its power to better their living situations.
The common themes, concerns, and experiences of female refugees will be the focus of this project. I will draw from literature, articles, documentaries, and the interviews I conduct. Gender roles will be given significant consideration in the analysis of this information.
