The early Chinese immigrants in America

Let's hear the voices of Chinese immigrants

The whole collection in MOCA is thoughtfully composed by a large number of old photographs, artifacts, book extracts and even video clips, yet these items, lying in the cold glass exhibitions cases, won't speak for themselves, for the history is not totally made up by a collection of straightforward facts; rather, the history contains subjectivity. It will be more appropriate if the authentic personal stories of the immigrants could be included in the collection. This rarely-known history of Chinese immigrants in America will be more vivid if the audience can see the Chinese immigrants' direct response to the exclusion act and attitude to the challenges in their new life.
