The Art of Food in Frogtown and Rondo

Q5: shopping at many different places

We shop a lot at Asian markets here along University Avenue -- they're great, and they're a lot cheaper! We're lucky to have the farmers' markets here, too ... it's amazing. The food tastes different, it looks different, it's wonderful! But unfortunately they're not open in the winter.

The farmers market is a growers market, so everything has to be grown within 50 miles, so that's quite comforting. And I've gotten very interested in the HAFA market -- they're doing some interesting things getting their vegetables into the more established markets -- that, I think, is a real positive.
