Instructor presence
- Establish presence by creating a video of yourself introducing your course. Share your pronouns and include them in your email signature and/or Zoom name. Encourage students to do the same.
- Open up to students by letting them in on personal aspects of your life. Introduce your “coworkers” (human or furry friends), talk about your pandemic hobbies, describe the vacation you’ll take once we can leave our homes again.
- Set up frequent announcements about the course, content, assignments.
- Set up times for office hours each week.
