If you have completed the module on Agamemnon's leadership in the Iliad, do the problems he faces seem like problems specific to his gender? Or would a woman face similar problems in his situation? When you picture leadership traits like courage, intelligence, self-restraint, or good judgment, do you picture a man or a woman exercising these traits? When times call for good leadership do you find yourself turning more to a woman than a man, or more to a man than a woman? The American Association of University Women, in collaboration with Project Implicit and Harvard University, has created an an implicit-association test (IAT) that attempts to detect an individual's bias for or against women in leadership positions.
