Stolen vs Loaned Art

Why Permission Should Be Given

When a piece or several piece of art have been stolen now people are worried because someone is taking history and will most likely try and sell it just to gain a profet instead of learning about its history and sharing the incredible history the work posesses. This is what most likely happened years and years ago when people were stealing art from different cultures either because they wanted to make money off of it or just becasue they thought it was pretty. Most artwork from different countries has been stolen but its hard to find specific information on what pieces have and haven't been. When one sees a book or exhibit that says something along the lines of "This country donated some of their work to share their history!" people are really exhited as they should be because they both get to look at the beutiful work that has been donated but it also means its obvious permission has been given for others outside of the owners culture has been given to view and learn about the work. When work is taken there is little to no information about that happening. A constant fight happening with countires is one country asking for their work back while the country that has the work says they now own it because they have had it in their possession for a certain amount of time. While the museum or country that houses the work might have had it for a certain amount of time that doesn't mean it is theirs now. It still belongs to the country it originated from and if the country or museum wants to continue housing the work proper permission should be given, especially if it has a meaning to the people where it comes from religious or not.
