Stolen vs Loaned Art

Argument Between Owners and Stealers

Title: Recarved Pendant

Date: 300 - 600 AD

Culture: Maya/Costa Rica Interaction

While experiencing art from different cultures is informative and helpful to people it can also be harmful to the people who had the art stolen from them if there was no mutual agreement to present the work in front of thousands of people. Although traveling art again is beautiful and has amazing history lessons there is way more than their should be art that has been stolen from different cultures and refused to be given back because the museum or country that stole it in the first place says it’s theirs by law now even though its not.
