The first is this online exhibition of archival objects selected from the ONE Archives collection that respond to the idea of “safer at home.” The second is to feature artists and their works of art that respond to the idea of "safer at home." Four LA-based LGBTQ artists have been invited to share their work and be in conversation with the curator to reflect on this terminology and the impact of Covid-19 on their daily lives and art practice. This collection of archival materials contemporary art will debut after movement restrictions have been lifted. This multi-pronged and phased approach stems from my desire to generate new ideas and material while in this state of being, while also planning for and envisioning another way of gathering when it is possible to meet again in person.
