Entry 3 (Diplomatic Transcription)

MY FAMILY’S LIFE IN POL_POT’S REGIME

At the morning April 17th 1975 the KHMER’S COMMUNIST was conquered in PHNOM PENH city of KHMER REPUBLIC. Along the road in front of my house; I saw the Pol_Pot’s army walking and shouted very loudly about their’s VICTORY that they were wining THE REPUBLIC’S REGIME. They told to the citizen “You ought to escape from U.S.’s BOMBING and go away outside the city don’t take a lot of fortunes from your homes; you’ll be back home soon in a few day.

My family left PHNOM PENH to live in TAKEO province; one day in July, 1975 my father wrote one letter to ask MR. KHIEU SAM PHAN HEAD OF STATE OF KHMER COMMUNUST’ REGIME and sent it by THE SECTION LEADER; Why he wrote the letter to MR. KHIEU SAMPHAN? because he wanted to be the MEMBER OF KHMER COMMUNIST PARTY but the result relied back from KHIEU_SAMPHAN’s letter “In along time you were my friend! now you’re my enemy!” Up from this my family were still quiet like the deaf and were working hard as the slave ordered by the section leader

November- 1975 the section leader transported the people that they lived in TAKEO province to BATTAMBANG province by train. My family arried the one village living in the forest which near the [page 15] KHMER_THAI border part of BATTAMBANG province. My house made from the seedlings; small woods to make the bed and the leaves used to cover the roaf ; in the Jungle beside my home has more of the fierce animals, one day my father became died by over work and having no foods to eat.

After my father died we were poor; my two sisters and I were hated and looked down from the leaders because they heard about my father’s job that he was a MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT and ADVICER MR MARSHAL LON_NOL THE PRESIDENT OF KHMER_REPULIC in 1975; and they accused to my family about wanting to escape from KHMER to THAILAND; it wasn’t true as their accused.

The leaders ordered us to working hard they didn’t to allow us to living together and ordered me to leave home to living in al another place which the place where was very difficult to living “Now GOOD-BY my poor sisters don’t worry about me and you must try to work hard and you must obey about the leader’s advice in orders to in order to keep your life”.

January, 1976 I left in the YOUTH_GROUP; the youths were students; more of youths about 1050_to 1120 were kill by persons were kill by the leader’s youth group at every night; remain of the youths who still the life are thin body and ful of diseases. The chief of group asked me several times about my father and my former profesions, I replied and told the lie to him “My father family were poor not wealthy; my father he hasn’t any official work and I hadn’t got any education, we were farmers” [page 16] I had kicked, hited and knocked out all the times by the chief of group because I hadn’t the strenghs had ful of diseases and hadn’t the strengh to working.

One day in July, 1978 I asked the chief of group to visite my sisters in the village; he agreed with my requess and allowed me to get home. Along the small road I walked very slowly through to the village to visite my poor sisters whom I b never seen and met them three years ago, I thought in my mind and said alone looked like a foolish-boy “As soon as I’ll happy when I meet my sisters, oh dears you remember me or not”

Whe I began to stand at the entrance of my sister’s house suddenly I heard a paint voice of from an old man woman she was a neigh bour she told me about my sisters story that the were killed by the Pol_Pot’s troup; “she said “why your sisters were killed? Because the Pol Pot’s troup were heard about your father’s job that he was a MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT and they got alot of jewels from herfselves after that they tried to find you to kill”; oh dear now you must escape

I leaved the village walked through to the forest I though that Dying is better than living; I disapointed to living I must g geb-bed my t self, I began to hung suddenly! I remembered about the ENGLISH’S PROVERB said that “While their’s life their’s hope” while I stopped to suicide myself and walked alone very slowly along the road through to the youth_group …………… [page 17]

Oh dears my sisters PAULA AND MEDELEINE I can’t writting and tell you any more about sad story; when I begin to write my tears fell down to the ground from my eyes look like water fall my hands are shaky and can’t holding the pent to write

Finely of my life’s story I pray to GOD to bless my soul, forgive all of my sins, I wish to has peace to the world, I want to be proude all of the sorrows and I wish to living to g together with my best parents and my poor sisters in another life !!!
