Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

Welcome to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

Now that we have finished reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone it is time to write a narrative paper. Over the next five class periods you will be working on assignments that will help prepare you for your paper. First you will start off with finding out what house you belong to, then how to create a fictional world, descriptive language, character development, and narrative techniques. The last page will have the prompt for the narrative paper, the rubric for how your paper will be graded, and the due dates for the assignments and paper.

Open your minds to the world that J.K. Rowling created and put your self in to this world. Imagine walking down Diagon Alley or watching Gryffindor battling it out against Slytherin on the quidditch field. Your narrative will take place at some of the places Rowling created or you can make up your own spot that would fit in with the world that Rowling created.

The assignments will be graded but try and have fun with them! Looking forward to seeing what kind of creative writing you will be producing throughout this process.

Good Luck!
