Interviewee describes her childhood growing, her education at the technical high school in Sopot, working in Sector 230 at VMZ at the beginning of her career, and transferring to work in the Food Provision Division within VMZ. She talks about her duties as an accountant within this department, which oversaw the multiple cafeterias, eateries, and food production facilities operated by VMZ. She describes the close friendships between colleagues. She enumerates the types of farm facilities that VMZ operated, such as pig and cattle farms, and the downsizing of its operations in the years after the democratic transition. She talks about her singing background, participation in festivals, and singing in the VMZ folk choir, and her memories of going on singing tours in neighboring socialist countries. She recounts rehearsing in the original cultural center building, and her memories surrounding her involvement in the performing arts. She compares education geared towards heavy versus light industry work, the closing of the local technical high schools, and her difficulty in witnessing the downsizing and decline of VMZ during the transition period. She recounts instances of being helped by coworkers, and talks about her philosophy of interpersonal and family relationships.
