Grand Central Market Appears in The Exiles

This scene from Kent Mackenzie's film The Exiles (1961) shows Yvonne Walker shopping to prepare for dinner at the Grand Central Market on South Broadway. The Exiles follows a group of Native American twenty-somethings living in Bunker Hill, the film documents their adventures and disappointments over the span of one night spent mostly in Downtown Los Angeles. Here Yvonne shops for a meal to be prepared not only for her husband, but also the number of men that congregate, pass through, and share a small apartment with the couple.
