A Reflection for Exploratory essay

The kneeling down on the ground which is happening Since Civil Right Movements. Where Martin Luther King Jr and other African Americans knelt down to have non-violence protest against the racial discrimination and for people to have equal rights.  The essay was based on a picture called, “Georgia Tech Cheerleader.” The girl who knelt down name was Raianna Brown. The reason behind of kneeling down was to protest against injustices for Terence Crutcher, who was an African American killed by the law enforcement. In my essay, I had write  an inferential level, critical/evaluative level, and analysis the picture. The image was very clear for the audience to know that it was the picture to fight against injustice system for people in color. Moreover, this picture shows that even though Brown was a girl, her teammates did not support her as a female leader. Also, her teammates knew about the idea behind of kneeling down still they did not join Brown, which comes back to idea “Separate but equal.” Therefore, this picture of the cheerleader’s genre can be described as the history of the Civil Right Movements.

The purpose of writing this essay for me was to answer all the questions. Also, wanted to accomplished criticizing and analysis the picture. Furthermore, hope to have less grammatical errors, an organized essay and to improve my writing skills. As for the audience in my essay, it was for everyone from ten years and older could read this piece of writing. While I was writing this, I realized that there are many worse things are happening to surrender us and even if someone who is trying to make it better to change. However, people are not stepping forward to support. People might think what would other people think of them, just like how Brown’s teammates had done. Therefore, in my essay I also inform people that even though Brown is a girl, her teammates should have supported her and as well the people who went to watch the games. People should take the step and not just criticize each other, but to help each other to improve and make the better place where everyone is equal.

All in all, Literary Analysis essay had a long journey. When I was writing my first draft I just described the picture and interpreted based on the image. However, when I went to the class there was  discussion about the essay. After the discussion I noticed that my essay was completely wrong. Later, I started with my second draft, it was much better than my first draft, since I analyze and interpret the picture. Later, I went to the writing center and they told me I needed to reorganize my essay and needed to answered the prompt. Finally, on my final draft, I was really proud of myself. The reason this essay was well organized, answered the all the prompt questions and less grammatical errors. Overall, while writing this essay I experienced something new and learned how to interpret  and analyze the picture in writing.
