Creating the iMovie Video Tutorials engaged the students in reflection about the vocational skills they are learning in their courses.  Here are the steps we guided the students through in producing the iMovie video tutorials:.

Step 1)  Brainstorm & Select a Specific Vocational Skill

Step 2)  Create a Storyboard with the Sequence of Steps for the Selected Vocational Skill

Step 3)  Record each of the Storyboard Frames using the  iPad Camera

Step 4)  Edit and Produce the Video Tutorial using iMovie

 

 

In Schoology platform, an assignment with the “How to” Video Tutorial was created to allow other students 24/7 access to the content.  Students follow these steps to review and reflect on their course skills:

Step 1)  Prepare the Supplies.

Step 2)  Watch the Video.

Step 3)  Practice the Skill.

Step 4)  Post a Reflection

*This is a next step goal that we have in this process.  At this time, students have not accessed these contents in Schoology.
