Lunched at Princes res. which we like + in afternoon saw the Silver King at the Strand a well played old melodrama. Dined in our parlor. Fine day. Oct 4 Cooler today. Attended First C.S. Church + then drove to St. Pauls Cathedral + heard end of service + looked about. After lunch in parlor attended service at Westminster Abbey Quite full. Singing good Church cold. Did not stay until end of service. Dined in parlor. Oct 5 Ladies shopped I visited Tate Gallery. Many fine modern + last century English pictures. 1/2 the National Gallery Turners there Then to West Minster Abbey [sic] a grand + solemn looking place. Every place open + full of visitors Shopped with N. in afternoon Dined in Res. + went to Globe
