The Dutch steamers are still running to the U.S. but Holland is crowded to suffocation with tourists waiting to get home on them the only line running Some Americans are trying to get to Sweden to wait + we hear Switzerland is crowded with them but we are so comfortable here that we know propose to remain + await developments. Aug 12 Fine day a little cooler No news at Embassy. Took ladies in Auto (2 marks?) to C.S. Reading rooms + got late papers. Reading rooms pleasant + quiet near church Walked back along Tier Garten over a mile. Amer. Ex. Co. would
