Shops here have very small + poor stock. Dined in restaurant + walked to Criterion theater + saw a Pair of silk stockings. Fair only. Sept 8 In morning spent an hour in National Gallery. Lunched in Parlor + in P.M. took two Lansoms + drove for 2 hours through the business part of the City by the Tower of London over Tower Bridge etc. Dined in grill room but are getting tired of the same run of their 5 1/2 shilling dinner Jep + I went to the Coliseum Ordinary show except the elephants which were wonderful
