Object/Case Study - Professional/Epistemological Dimensions

Consider your object/case study. (you are welcome to refine this selection from last week if needed - or stick with your object!) Now consider the question below. Take 30 minutes to write a response to the below. If/as needed, take 30 minutes to skim resources online and to draw them into your response:

Professional/Epistemological Dimensions Prompt: What kinds of knowledges count in talking about your object/case study? How is “knowledge” around the building/production practices related to your case study/object demarcated and professionalized? What kind of professionals are involved in making expert decisions regarding its development, production, and dissemination? In what kinds of institutions do they work? How is their work funded through each of these stages? How are they involved in controversies around knowledge production and your object? In projecting future uses/developments around your object, who is involved? Are interests of medical, legal, governmental, religious, psychological, engineering, military, economic, academic, new age, and educational, civic and citizen sectors involved?
