Hiroshima Bombing

Conclusion

After going through all of these primary sources, the feeling of payback to Japan is what mainly motivated a whole nation to destroy the other. With The Pearl Harbor attack, the U.S, dishonored and surprised, declared war on the Japanese Empire until their unconditional surrender. The results: a new weapon technology creation and a destroyed nation.  Many phases were planned to complete the Hiroshima Bombing mission successfully. The developing stage, which was the most expensive, time and energy consumption of all phases, defined the capacity of the United States, knowing they had the most powerful weapons ever created. “Little Boy” the 16 Kiloton Atomic Bomb was finally completed and ready for the next phase, the testing and recruitment. Composed of 12 male members, the crew of the Enola Gay, the aircraft that dropped the bomb, was ready to deliver “the package.” In the end, the two-billion-dollar Manhattan Project brought the peace to the United States once and for all.

In my opinion, I believe other solutions could have ended the war with the Asian empire that did not include the killing of thousands of people. The propagation of new deceases, all of them lethal, made the entire world suffer. However, the solution implemented was effective since the goal was to destroy any threat and mark them a more powerful nation. They incapacitated Hiroshima and Nagasaki, two of the most essential, industrial cities, warranting no further threats from the enemy.
