Comparing branch maturity

In comparison to the bottom branch sample's overall fullness of both leaves and flowers, the top branch sample is considerably barer. This is especially evident closer to the base of the sample. Rather than this bareness being due to maturity, with the leaves and flowers having dropped, the top plant is likely younger than the bottom sample, due to the more narrow matrix of branches, branch thinness, as well as smaller leaf size.
