9:30: Welcome / Coffee
10:00: Review of Day 1
- What were the key insights and/or identified challenges from Day 1?
- How will these insights of Day 1 apply or be integrated into the call for projects?
10:15: An introduction to 2nd day of workshop with a focus on the call for projects
- Present the draft call
- Discuss the purpose of the call for projects and what it should include
10:30: Tables divided across 3 topics to discuss as it pertains to the calls for projects:
(Each group spends 20 minutes at each table and then switch to the next)
- Focused discussion / reflection/ writing session among key participants on the Expressions of Interest and Proposals
- What to ask to be included in the expression of interest? In the proposals?
- How should we design a template for each stage for both text and budget?
- How can we support received / accepted expressions of interest as applicants moves onto the proposal stage?
- How can we support received / accepted proposals as they move onto the initial stages of their individual projects?
- Focused discussion / writing session among key participants on what the Call for Projects should include in terms of Stream 1: Case Studies?
- What does this draft call need to include for the expression of interests/ proposals to lead to high quality case studies?
- What are the criteria by which we are judging/ assessing the expression of interests/ proposals for case studies?
- Are there certain sector considerations that need to be accounted for?
- How can we foster (and support) results able to express not only local perspective on gendered innovation but also on design and research more globally?
- Focused discussion / writing session among key participants on what the Call for Projects should include in terms of Stream 2: Case Studies + Prototypes
- What does this draft call need to include for the expression of interests/ proposals to lead to high quality case studies + prototypes?
- What are the criteria by which we are judging/ assessing the expressions of interests/ proposals for case studies + proposals?

11:30: Initiate a second KJ exercise around the CFPs. Attendees provided with sticky notes and pens, after which they can silently think about their own insights in light of the previous discussions / raise issues that may have not been fully addressed, etc., and pin them up to the two different boards as is appropriate.
11:50: “Insights Sorting” exercise with the sticky-notes from KJ exercise to help with knowledge synthesizing.
12:30: LUNCH
1:30: Synthesize knowledge gathered from each table and the pin-up boards
2:00: Discussion of Next Steps/ Continuing Collaboration:
- requests of commitment for those who want to continue to be involved
- time lines for when the call for projects to be finalized and disseminated
- possible working groups to work on more complicated aspects of the call for proposals
- how to begin recruiting graduate students for the project
