Judge Loren Miller and his wife, Juanita Ellsworth, ca. 1964
Loren Miller migrated to Los Angeles from Topeka, Kansas in 1929. In 1932 Miller joined his friend Langston Hughes and others on a trip to Russia to make the first great Negro-white film, which was never produced. After his return from Russia, Miller and Juanita Ellsworth were married on March 17, 1933.
