Gwen Green is a civil rights activist and former executive secretary for the Western Christian Leadership Conference (WCLC) and Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC). She organized and oversaw many demonstrations and protests. She helped organize the celebrities who traveled from L.A. to the1963 March on Washington and was assistant director to the SCLC’s SCOPE voter’s rights project.
