The Medical Dental and Pharmaceutical Association and the Women’s Axillary present H. Claude Hudson, D.D.S with a citation for Long and Exceptional Service, Los Angeles, 1964
In 1923 Hudson (lf.) moved his family to Los Angeles. He was elected president of the L.A. branch of the NAACP and became known as “Mr. NAACP.” He enrolled in Loyola Law School in 1927 and become its first African American graduate in 1931. Hudson founded Broadway Federal Savings and Loan, the nation’s second largest Black savings and loan association.
