Mellon Foundation under a grant "Designing a Research-Intensive Curriculum in the Humanities and Humanistic Social Sciences" awarded to the participating Department of Comparative Studies in Literature and Culture. Funds from the grant enabled a site visit to the Getty Research Institute for inspection of original Russian Avant-Garde artist books, and a guided tour of the exhibition Concrete Poetry.
