Cordick was born in Boston on 8 August 1863. He married May Jane Mossop in 1896. He graduated from Nashotah House and was ordained a deacon in 1891 and a priestin 1892. He served churches in Menasha and Ashland, Wisconsin between 1891 and 1894. Later he was at Wheaton, Illinois, Fond du Lac, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He came to Indiana in 1916 as rector of St. Thomas Church, Plymouth. He remained there for twenty years, retiring in 1936 as rector emeritus. He died on 22 May 1944 in Ottawa, Illinois, and was buried in Oakwood Memorial Park there.
