William H. Milnes. He was born about 1849 in England and was an 1880 graduate of Nashotah House Seminary, where he had worked as a librarian. He was ordained to the diaconate by Bishop Talbot at St. Paul's Cathedral in Indianapolis in 1880 and then spent time in Sumter County, Florida. He became a priest in 1881 and did missionary work in Indiana, including a brief stint at Trinity Church in Peru, He was also briefly at Trinity Connersville. The diocese elected him assistant librarian of the diocese in 1881, but he departed the following year for Minnesota. The next record of him comes on 11 June 1890, when the Bishop of Florida deposed him from the priesthood after he renounced in writing his ministry. He has not been identified on the 1900 census, and he perhaps returned to England.
