William Fenwick Bachman was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, n 4 October 1882, the son of William Henry and Rose (Watson) Bachman. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1909 at St. John's Church in Burlington, Wisconsin. He was at Atlantic City, New Jersey, in 1912, and came to Northern Indiana in 1918 to serve briefly as vicar of St. Alban's Mission at Indiana Harbor. He died unexpectedly of pneumonia in Gary on 10 November 1918 and was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Grand Rapids.
